I'm currently reading " American Son" by Brian Ascalon Roley, the story is about a Filipino family growing up in the slums of California. in this family there is a mother and two sons, one son named Tomas and another named Gabe. Tomas in the bad one, he helps pay the mortgage by selling attack dogs to rich people and celebrities. He Also is apart of an Mexican gang, even though he is he is Filipino his arms are covered in Mexican gang tattoos. No one knows Tomas is Asian by the way he dresses, he has a shaved head, wear white beaters, cargo's, and converse like an Mexican gangster in the time period of the book so everyone including his fellow gangs members think he is Mexican.
Subjects like this, happens all around the world. People try to be things they aren't to try and impress others. By Tomas trying to be something he's not shows this. Many people are under the impression that they have to act like something they are not to be excepted in the world. i think people should just be who they are and not care about if they are excepted by a certain group of people i think that Tomas should of excepted the fact that he is Asian not Mexican and not try to impress anyone.

I’m currently in the process of reading “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules” by Jeff Kinney. I’m in the beginning even though I’ve read this book thousands of times every time funny parts come up I just happen to laugh as if it is the first time I’m reading the book. It makes me laugh so hard when Rodrick beats up Greg and calls him a sissy when he finds about his journals his mother brought him. In the last book, Greg was beat up and teased by Rodrick because of the journals but know she brought another one which makes it three million times worst for Greg.
The fact that Greg is a tiny little wimp puts everything all together for his life. In the story Greg father takes him to a swim meet and all the other swimmers are ready and pumped and their parents are in the back cheering for them and Greg is standing there shivering and his father is like Greg stop shivering. Another part is where the umpire shoots the gun Greg is supposed to dive into the water and start swimming, he was too concerned where the where the bullet was going to land. Greg is hilarious and so is his family

Im currently reading Wake by Lisa McMann, i just srarted the book so i am beginning to understand what it is about and what is going on. so the book starts off where janie is five and in any second of the day she can be sucked into any random persons dream. she doesnt tell anyone about the special ablity she has so people look at her like she is crazy when she is dazed for a period of time. In the book the dreams continue as she gets older and the dreams arent the the same from when she was five. they arent dreams they are more like nightmares. Janie is forced to watch peoples dreams even when there violent and sometimes even when there is nudity.
Even though Jainie hates her gift there is a postitive aspect to it, she can help people in there dreams. One dream that occured a little boy was drowning in the lake and she was capable of saving him in the end. Basically she can prevent bad dreams if she wanted to. in many cases jainie decides not to prevent a nightmare based on the person that is dreaming personality if there a good or bad person. i really like this book and since im just starting im starting to get a clue of whats going on.

Movie responce to Romeo and Jukiet ( leornado dicaprio version )
I Haven't read any books this week so today's reponse is going to be my responce to the ending of Romeo And Juliet. I knew that tge ending was going to end with them both dying but i didnt know it would make me so mad the way the both died. Okay so Juliette was awakining from her sleep and Romeo was hovering over her crying because he thought she was dead. She litterly watched him dirink the potion and didnt try to stop him until it was too late. At that minute my hole class just got mad because they way it played out in the end both of there deaths could of been prevented.
For intince when Romeo went to hold Juliette's hand she twitched and when Julliette opened her eyes and saw Romeo she could of used her mouth and said something and they would of still been alive. But no Julliette wanted to stay quiet and watch Romeo drink posion and when the posion is in her mouth she wants to try and stop him, then she kills herself. It was a very sad ending because they took there lives but the iveral movie was amzing and shows how true love has an stront effect on people.

The Help ( response #4)
So im in the middle of reading the book '' The Help" by Kathryn Sockett and there is one character that sticks out to me and that's Minny. Minny sticks out to me because she reminds me of myself, she is a smarty pants, funny and not afraid of what people think of her. Minny has been working at her new maid job for ms Celia for about 5 months and she has noticed that ms Celia isn't happy. Minny isn't the type to get into your business if you don't wan her too but something about Ms.Celia hasn't been right.
Ms.Celia is a thin blonde white woman who is very eager to have friends, but all the woman in the neighborhood think and say terrible things about her behind her back. Ms.Celia is a very Naive woman who her husband is never home and need a friend and try's to be friends with Minny. At first Minny tried to keep things professional but then she learned to like Ms.Celia. They had many fun times together Minny taught ms.Celia how to cook fried chicken, pork chops, chocolate pie many things. But there is one problem since ms.Celia husband is never home she hasn't told him about Minny, the fact they have a maid and the cooking ms.Celia says she maid is really Minny's. I think Ms.Celia will eventually grow a strong bond with Minny and ms.Celia would finally be happy.
In Conclusion i think there bond would make Minny and ms.Celia happy and her husband can finally find out about Minny. i predict that ms.Celia husband is going to come home home and think Minny is an invader and everything would go crazy in that household.

The Help Follow UP #3
This is my "The Help'' follow up number three. So im just geting into the book and there is another situation that stands out to me. This situation is that the maid has a closer bond with the children then the the mothers do. The maids spends all day with the children and the mothers dont, the maids always have the children glued on there hip and her mothers dont. I think this is a common thing with nannnies and maids even today, Ive witnessed children crying when nannies/ maids go home. I think the bond shouldnt be closer then there bond with their parents.

follow up on the Help
On my last post I promised a follow up on '' The Help'' by Kathyrn Sockett and here it is. while reading the book i came across an outstandingly ignorant commit that was made by one of the white mothers in the book that stood out to me. So we know the book takes place in the early 60's were segragation was still a huge factor and black maids were still working and raising children in white households. So in the south it is common for friends to come along and eat finger foods etc, Like a party.
So at one of these party's one of the mothers said " I dont let my maid use my family restroom they carry many more diseases then we do so im getting one built outside." This comment is very ignorant and full of stupidity. When i read this sentence i had to read it over to make sure it said what i thought it said. This comment of course isnt true, but it makes the theme of inequality stand out 100 times more. this comment makes the feel of the boook alot better more realistic how it was like for maids in this time period.
Another thing that stood out to me that aibleen ( main maid) has taken almost 20 years of her life to take care of the house and raise other peoples children, while her children are out barely seeing her own children who she is surpossed be taking care of instead of others. So far this book is very good and is a eye popper. stay tuned for my next follow up about ''The Help''

The Help
I just started reading the book The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I'm only on the first page and i haven't seen the movie and I'm going to infer that the book is about maids in the south taking over their lives and participating in a book about being nannies of white children. I definitely know that these black maids are taking a huge risk and exposing the truth about the parents of the children.

ive just read Brittany David's http://silentlibrary98.blogspot.com/ blog post on the Twilight Saga book Breaking dawn. i agree with you when you say when young people get married people automatically assume someone is pregnant and no one could never just be IN LOVE.
Ive just read Jessenia Weeks http://lovinglife-jessenia.blogspot.com/ about the book she is reading the skin im in and in response i feel the reason the main character isn't responding to any of the bullying because she scared it is going to get physical we she says hurtful things back it like throwing gas on a open fire. Many times when children are bullied and they respond the problem gets worse so that is why the main character probably doesn't want to retaliate on the situation
Ive just read Deontea's http://ballupstreetball101.blogspot.com/about Diary of a wimpy kid and i relate to what he was talking about 100% in the book as i was ready this book i found myself reading it ad feeling the same way deontea felt.
I Just finished reading Kara Feaster http://sufferinfromrealness.blogspot.com/ blog post about the book Zig Zag her post makes me want to read this book because the conflict is that the main character has a eating disorder and throws up everything they weat and it makes me want to read the book and know the the character is doing this to there body. Also how the settings or theme of the book makes the character this way.

In the book Tears Of A Tiger by Sharon M. Draper Andrew Jackson , Robert Washington , Gerald Nickelby and B.J Carson are the star of the Hazel wood High School basketball team. They all loved playing basketball to the fullest. One Night at Hazel-wood High School there was an intense game against another high school. There were a few college scouts there and they were all excited about the win they were about to receive. After there wonderful win Andrew, Gerald and some one other teen who isn't on the basketball team but are tight with all of them decided to tag along. They decided to celebrate there amazing win and drink couple of six packs of beer that was stashed in Andrews car. So Robert and Andrew are in the front seat and Gerald and Tyrone are in the back seat. They all have drink in there hands except Robert, Robert don't drink and the kind of respect him because of it. He says it bring bad habits in the future.
There cruising down the highway and everything becomes dizzy to Andrew and the car starts to swerve a little but they all thought it was funny. Andrew was driving and there all laughing having a good time then Andrew notices the cars around them are beeping crazy at them so they start to laugh even harder then suddenly SLAM. They slammed into a cement wall on the highway and they all went unconscious. Suddenly they all woke up by the smell of gasoline and realized the gas tank was open and the car was going to explode. Gerald stumbled out of the car and helped Andrew and Tyrone out of the car ans then tried to save Robert. Since Roberts legs were so long he had them on top of the dashboard and the impact of the accident caused his legs to be stuck in the window shied. that's when Gerald and Andrew sprung into action to save Robert they jumped on top of the hood of the car and and tried to pull Robert out by his legs then there was a big burst of flames that threw Andrew and Gerald off the top of the car. that's when Robert started screaming " i don't want to die like this, Andrew help me ,help me". the explosion caused Robert to burn to death and that crushed Andrew so much. he felt he was the reason Robert was dead and he needs to go with him.
After the accident Andrew went into a deep depression feeling like the reason why Robert is dead is all his fault. i feel really bad for Andrew because i wouldn't know how to handle the situation he is in. Andrew feels that he should be dead instead of Robert and he will take his place any chance he gets. i think Andrew needs to stay strong for his family and his friends that are supporting and overtime he will forgive himself for what happened to Robert, or he wont.

Protagonist
Tyrell is a very interesting character in my independent reading book. Tyrell's family is struggling financially and physically. Tyrell lives with his mom and little brother troy in Bennett homeless shelter in the Bronx. Tyrells father is in prison again for illegally selling liquor at a party. tyrell mom is no type of role model for troy so tyrell has to make sure he can provide a life for his brother. Over this time tyrell finds a companion, Jasmine. the first time tyrell saw jasmine he was instantly attracted to her, but tyrell has a girlfriend Novisha. jasmine is a influence on tyrell, like shes helps him promote parties like his father use to do so he can get his family out of a shelter and into a apartment. she lets him know when his mother leaves troy alone in the shelter everything. but there is a huge distraction in tyrells life, Novisha. She constantly making him mad and always getting in the way of his business. But tyrell loves her with all his heart.
Novisha constantly brushes tyrell away when he picks her up from school and she is hiding something from him and he cant get it off his mind. Its like Novisha like to keep him stressed out and he dosen't realize it. He has too much on his hands to be thrown off by nonsense and unnecessary things. Novisha Dosen't understand what he is going threw because she isn ot in his situation, but jasmine is.

independent reading book - Raising In The Sun
Wilbert is the main character in my independent book Rising In The Sun. He has changed a whole lot since the protagonist came along. The protagonist is definitely his mother 10,000 dollar settlement for his fathers wrongful death. As soon as the check came in the mail Wilbert's whole mood his mind thought everything has changed. Wilbert wants to use that money to buy a liquor store instead of buying his family a home. Wilbert and his family live in the slums of a 2 bedroom apartment and share a bathroom with everyone Ianthe building. I think Wilbert cant take that money and change his family life with it instead of being selfish and using the money to his expense. Everybody in that house hold has put their dreams aside to try to make everyone comfortable except Wilbert. for example Ruth, Ruth is Wilbert's wife she put her dreams aside of being a cook to make sure her son can grow up a lot more comforting instead of the way she did. i think Wilbert doesn't understand how risky it is to be that selfish and buying a liquor store with a guy he doesn't even know that well. Wilbert definitely has alot of growing up to do.

Independent reading book : Raisin in the sun
The book raisin in the sun is based on the play that was made in the early 60s. This book is about a African American family growing up in poverty in the early 1960's. Theirs a house of five people in a two bedroom appartment. The man of the house Wilbert and his wife Ruth and their son Travis. Along with them is Wilberts sister Benetha and their mother Lena.
This family has a huge life insurance check coming in of 10,000 dollars from their fathers death. in this time perod that amoun of money is like one million dollars to them. Wilbert has dreams to start a liquor store with the money, but his mother Lena is a Christian woman and dosent think that starting a liquor store is a good thing to do in their situation. So Lena took it into her own hands and went out and brought the whole family a four bedroom house in Clyone park. This house had a backyard a front yard, 2 whole bathrooms and a huge kitchen. This house is in a neighborhood full of white people. Everyone is excited about moving into the new home except Walter, I think Walter isnt excited at all becuase he is used to getting his way about anthing he wants and since he isnt getting his liquor store he is going to have a fit.
In conclusion i think Wilbert needs to become more grateful for the things he already has even though its not alot because his wife and his family all have dreams but they have to put some of their dreams aside so everyone can be comfortable.

Bridge to Terabithia
While reading Bridge To Terabithia I've realized Jesse and Leslie's relationship wasn't just a friendship. It was like a guidance a learning experience for both of them. Lesli has taught Jesse in this book. She taught him how to rule Tabatha. She taught him how to have a imagination. She taught him how to e very wise and, smart.
Leslie and Jesse relationship began when Jesse stood up for Leslie when the guys were picking on her and being sexiest towards her because she was a girl. Also she was the fastest runner in the fifth grade. After Jesse stood up for Leslie their relationship has changed because they've both learned how to trust each other.
During the ending of the book death is a big characteristic in the book. My reason for saying this because of Leslie's death on her way to terabithia with Jesse. Leslie died when her and Jesse where on their way to terabithia, Leslie let go of the rope and fell into a deep creek. Jesse was feasted about Leslie's death. He felt Leslie was a humongous part of his life.
Instead of being depressed over Leslie's death Jesse he took the good things out of Leslie's death and taught everything she taught him and taught it to May-bell ( Jesse sister). The reason why Jesse taught everything that Leslie taught him to May-Bell because during every adventure to terabithia Maybelle would want to tag along. So after Leslie death i think Jesse felt that may belle can now be the queen of terabithia since Lesli isn't their anymore to be.
Of course majority of my annotations were about Leslie and Jesse relationship because it was a very healthy friendship. I relate to Jesse and Leslie relationship because i have a friendship like that with my best friend Ava.we both learn from each other and change each other lives also.

focusing on the character
Does the Character have meaningful interactions with other characters?
Jesse has meaningful interactions with Leslie because before leslie dies she takes jesse to teribithia. Also Leslie teaches Jesse how to be wise but he dosen't realize it until she passes away. When she passes away Jesse takes the same things Leslie taught him and passes it on to Mary-Ann, his little sister.those examples make meaningful interaction because it passes on Knowledge on to each person on from one person to another.
